CISC has leveraged a platform from SIPA that is ADA compliant and a Development Agency, Kaffeinated Kodemokey, that is devoted to Web Accessibility.
Together we can ensure digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the most recent and relevant accessibility standards put forth by the WCAG and Section 508.
Measures to support accessibility
CISC takes the following measures to ensure the accessibility of CISC:
- Appoint an accessibility officer and/or ombudsperson.
- Hire an agency that specializes in ADA compliance.
- Become WA Certified.
Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
As a government entity, CISC is fully conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA and Section 508. Fully conformant means that the content fully conforms to the accessibility standard without any exceptions.
